As the biggest project in Bhutan, SPD was invited to provide the conceptual Urban Design for this significant project. The challenges included limit construction land for expansion/flooding management/weak financial and sensitive environment.

 SPD project team established a strategic Vision for this evolving district, design with sustainable approach from inter-disciplines. The main 5 design concept are:

 1) Respect and celebrate the Amouchu riverfront

 2) Preserve and restore the sensitive environment for future

 3) Recreate strong center for connecting Old & New Phuenthsoling City

 4) Create Unique Orient riverfront perspective to attract invest and tourists

 5) Make the bridges as the Landmark with Local Art

 The conceptual plan was presented to local government, got high recognition from client. The further work is still processing.
