OVERALL PLANNING OF XIAOTANG OLD TOWN REVITALIZATION PROGRAM The objective of the overall planning aims to inherit the history and culture, restore the style and features of Xiaotang, reproduce the vitality of cultural tourism and boost the development of people's livelihood. Based on the most prosperous period of Xiaotang in the 1980s, with the principle of humanistic and historical-oriented organic renewal, the project refurbishes the exterior of original buildings to reappear the old look of Xiaotang in the 1980s. Meanwhile, it introduces business projects to key buildings and plans cultural activities in combination with various themes to evoke people’s collective memories and reproduce the vitality of the old street.
